致力于以光驱合成生物学技术驱动海洋生物活性物质与生物制品产业升级。(1)海洋微藻生物代谢路径解析与精准调控;(2)以海洋微藻为底盘的合成生物技术开发;(3)海洋生物制品创制及创新应用。
Dr. Yandu Lu’s long-term goal is to design and develop artificial photosynthetic cells using microalgae as chassis to produce both native and non-native natural products in commercial scales. Functional genomics and trait optimization of microalgae have been the underlying theme throughout his research career. He works on microalgae but the general concepts and many of the mechanisms are common to all parts of the tree of life. Over the years the context of his interest in gene regulation, trait optimization, and value-added compound production has involved biosynthetic pathways, photosynthesis, and industrial-scale cultivation methods.
